The phone number for emergencies for the Sunshine Valley Volunteer Fire Department is 604-869-2404. This number is for emergencies only. The number connects you to our emergency paging system. A machine answers and asks you to state your name, lot number, phone number and the nature of the emergency. This information is then immediately paged to our fire fighters in the valley. All fire fighters are required to carry their pagers at all times. Firefighters will then respond to the fire hall, dress and respond to your location.

SV Volunteer Fire Department AGM
The Sunshine Valley Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to announce its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, January 6th at 2:00pm at the Rec Centre.
ALL ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
Some of the Goals for 2007
1) Change the membership rules back to the way they were several years ago where all owners whom pay fire dues are members of the Society and have full voting rights.
2) Increase number of fire fighters from 10 to 20
3) New Fire Truck
4) New or improved fire hall
5) Restore Sunshine Valley Volunteer Fire Department to good standing with the Ministry of Finance and Registrar of Societies
6) Restore the Sunshine Valley Volunteer Fire Department to good standing with the BC Lotteries Corporation and Gaming Commission in order regain the ability to apply for yearly grants at a value of approx. $12,000 per year.
7) Work on a 5 year growth plan WITH the input and full involvement of the COMMUNITY.
We need your help and involvement! Directors for the year will be elected and if you are interested in standing on the Board of Directors - please attend this meeting.
